    Some insurance policies will cover you in Mexican waters, at least down to a specific point like Todos Santos for example. I think you should call a marine specific insurance broker office and they can give you the straight details.

    Yeah the US policy will cover me in MEX but it does not satisfy the MEX Gov requirements.

    Your starting to realize what a pain in the ass Mexico is, huh?

    My suggestion is fish US waters for awhile. Your going to have alot to do as the captian with that boat being your 1st boat. That's stressful enough.

    Where and who do you have to register your radio with? So I need a permit for my radio, and a permit to operate it?

    That's why I stay in US waters....just when you get all your paper work straight, they add or subtract from the requirements....it's hard enough to keep up with the paperwork, regulations, closures, insurance....etc, to remain a law abiding sportsman here in the USA.... Enjoy your new boat....
