Bingo..... now you comprende...
same with a car in mexico.
Some insurance policies will cover you in Mexican waters, at least down to a specific point like Todos Santos for example. I think you should call a marine specific insurance broker office and they can give you the straight details.
Yeah the US policy will cover me in MEX but it does not satisfy the MEX Gov requirements.
Like you hear above!! Get all your ducks in a row!!! It's no place to mess with!! And get ins even if your going to pull it !!!
Your starting to realize what a pain in the ass Mexico is, huh?
My suggestion is fish US waters for awhile. Your going to have alot to do as the captian with that boat being your 1st boat. That's stressful enough.
Where and who do you have to register your radio with? So I need a permit for my radio, and a permit to operate it?
Register first then apply for the licenses you will need 2 one for you and one for the boat
That's why I stay in US waters....just when you get all your paper work straight, they add or subtract from the requirements....it's hard enough to keep up with the paperwork, regulations, closures, insurance....etc, to remain a law abiding sportsman here in the USA.... Enjoy your new boat....
