I know a couple guys...
I hate it when I cant walk the deck freely cuz stupid cow tuna are dead everywhere...🤪

Right boat, right time for sure. Thanks for sharing the stoke bro.

Truly a gift to hit it big on your first trip. That tug is gonna be a feeling you will chase for the rest of your fishing life. You might be ruined.

Ever since I got into a good YFT bite a few years ago, I dont find as much enjoyment as I used to fishing freshwater or inshore.

The Tug Drug is addicting!!!

Have you thought about doing a bimini twist in end of braid and with that loop just attaching it to swivel through one time. 100% connection. We do this with hollow and loops or crimp to a 25’ pre made windon leader. No failures.

ya.....I didnt retie.....the leader seemed fine, but now that you mention it, the first one had that flatfall superdeep down its throat, maybe it chewed the main line.....hmmmmm.
Well I am sorry you had to learn on a giant bluefin a lesson the rest of us learned on a 15 pound albacore but hey another milestone on a lifetime trip, learning that lesson. We all did too
