Spent the last 3 weekends and several days in between driving all around the west side and ended up with my first buck. I saw several legal deer, but kept passing them up for something a little bigger. I guess the patience finally paid off on Sunday with my last day to hunt. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Good work! Bold move passing up on deer.... unless you know/live in a place with a shit ton. I've known some buds who passed on deer and ended the season with none. Glad it worked out, though! That's a bad ass buck, first or not!

Congrats on your first buck, you never forget your first. Where did you get that (just general area), as the rack looks to be influenced by interbreeding with a mulie a bit. Was is in the foot-hills of the Cascades?

    Great job......way to hold out....
