Got up yesterday morning at 0315 to hunt some coyotes and Javelina in Dateland which is about 65mi east of where I live in Yuma, AZ. Came across 7 coyotes in the first 30min of the hunt. They were fast as hell and ran into the tall crops without being shot.. Then came across 5 Sonoran Desert Pronghorn as we finished up hunting that area. Made our way west to Tacna as we made our usual rounds, my Pastor spotted a Javelina about 400yds away feeding in a field. I got out of the truck and climbed up the levy to have the high ground. I stalked to within 30yds and pit a round into the Javelina. The 1st round severed his spine and his back legs dropped instantly. Final round placement was through the lower jaw and exited through his right ear. Weapon of choice is my M1A Tanker with a 16.25" barrel chambered in 308. Weighed in at 60lbs.

Lovin' It!!!

Congratulations are in order.

Well done.
Thank you good sir!! Took it to the butcher to have it processed but they had a LOT of business ahead of me.. Could be a few month's until I get the meat back unless they get tired of Javelina smells.. LOL

The tanker is no joke. I hope you kill every one of those stinking things. 😎
Thank you sir!! Definitely gonna try!! If any of you guy's wanna come out, you're more than welcome too!
I eat Trompa (hog snout) tacos about 2 to 3 times a month.

The Best!!!
NICE!! This will be my first time having Javelina! I've heard they're good eatin as long as you shoot them in the fields where they eat the Alfalfa, etc.. But if you shoot them out in the desert, I heard they're not good eating cause of what they eat.

Will do!! I can't wait to get the meat back from the butcher and try it!! They had 2 full rooms of hanging cow carcasses, goats, etc that they had to process before they get to my piggie.. LOL

Very nice!
Coyotes are really hard to hit especially if they already noticed your presence so don't be too bummed about it. Impressive Javelina kill tho!
Coyotes are very smart! Went hunting a couple days ago and we came across 24 coyotes. Took a shot at one that was running 500yds out and my elevation was good, but I didn't lead it far enough and hit a few feet behind it. We ended up seeing 24 Coyotes, 27 Mule Deer, 2 Javelina, 45 Sonoran Desert Pronghorn and a nice sized Western Diamondback.
