It took 3 trips over 8 days, but I'm finally able to post a pic of my worn out butt with my first BFT this year.
All 3 trips started the same way... a 1/2 scoop of superb bait from Oceanside, intending a loop of the 312-209-267/279. But on this this trip we never left the 312 area. At round 2PM a school passed below and we had 2 fish on... one on a flylined dine, and one on a sinker rig. Lost the sinker rig fish after almost spooling the Fathom 30/30# set up (needed a bigger gun). Landed the other on a Fathom 40/50# set up. Guessing 45-50# fish. So, at least for today, I'm not hating the BFT once again.
