This doesn't really fit, but I figure many of you frequent various outdoor forums in WA. These folks are looking for public input on concerns about feral swine and preventing them from causing the problems in WA that they are known for in most the other states.

Interesting. On one hand, I'd love to be able to hunt them with some regularity here in WA but on the other hand, I completely realize the damage they do. I have customers in Texas who are living that hell...

We should organize a Wa bd extermination trip to Texas to help out. I am always sad when hunting season is over.

LE recently busted some idiots in MO, I think, that were moving feral hogs around the state and releasing them. Bad deal, but not unique.

Hugely destructive animals, and dangerous when encountered as well.

A bunch of quality meat makes them a great animal to hunt, but I don't think we want to spread them to new environments just so we can harvest them.

If we need more game, a few WA elk/moose/bison hatcheries would be great.

Tim there are lots of hatcheries, they are called National Parks. and the game flourish in these hatcheries. But we can't hunt in a hatcheries, PITA wouldn't like that.

Wasn’t there pigs roaming wild down in the Aberdeen area a few years ago? I think they were on private land and the owner wouldn’t let anybody hunt them. I hunted a ranch in Cheney a few years ago and those buggers were like hunting elk, they would see you 200 yards away and take off in different directions.

I think most of the feral swines we have problems with live in Seattle and hold political offices.

Heading to Stepensville Texas in April to a friends ranch to take care of some of those pesky pigs. He comes up here to Ekalaka, Montana to help run the Handicap hunt and has invited us back down there to go hunting. Will take pics and get them posted when we return.

He promised us a real Texas pig roast so I sure will. Most of the hunting is done at night so I am waiting for UPS to bring my Wicked Light setup. Hope it shows up , right now it’s - 2 degrees out and snowing hard. Light is going to be used to spotlight jackrabbits now to get practice for the hogs.
