post up some of your favorite restaurants and off the beaten path places for grinds!!!

one of my staples and it's right next to p.o.p. nicospier38.com

this place's lobster dog is to die for!!! Hanks Haute Dogs

any big event for the wifey or if we have friends/family from out of town we always end up taking them to indigo INDIGO RESTAURANT-hawaii cuisine

and here's a new gem we found, killer burgers but a long wait during lunchtime Honolulu Burger Company

so where do you guys grind???

    Tokkuri Tei -Sushi/Okazuya, Waikiki
    Ninniku Ya -Garlic, Kaimuki
Casablanca -Moroccan, (best food in) Kailua
    Willow Tree -Korean, Kailua
Uahi Grill -Healthy plate lunch, Kailua
    Ethel's -Plate lunch, Kalihi
    Mekong II -Thai, King St.
    J.J. Dolan's- Pizza/Wings, Downtown
    Ted's Bakery- everything, Sunset Beach
    Kua Aina- Burgers, Haleiwa
    Little Village- Chinese, Downtown

All these places vary in price range, but they are all consistently the BOMB. Unfortunately, we have no Mexican places here (to my knowledge, though Serge's in Manoa is decent) that distinguish themselves by Cali/Mexican standards.

Willow Tree and Casablanca are the hidden gems of Kailua, and both are byob! Casablanca more expensive, but best lamb I've ever had.

I'll second Ninniku Ya (commonly called garlic house). Pricey but good steaks. Sit outside and don't plan on going anyhwere after cause you'll smell like garlic. Would be my first choice for a nice dinner.
I'll also second Nico's. Plate luch prices but far from your ordinary plate lunch
Gotta give Assagios a mention too. Good italian food at a decent price and nice atmomsphere.

Oahu: Cafe Haleiwa for mahi mahi 'n egg breakfast

Grass Skirt Grill in Haleiwa for grilled hebi (they let me bring in my own 6-pack, no likkah license, no worry, local cop laughed his ass off at us bringing in our own beer, cool people work there)

Molokai: Hotel Molokai bar on Friday night for local music, good pupus and ice cold Hinano (and the tranny waittress NEVER knows they serve Hinano until you tell her they do!)

Big Island: Bamboo Grill in Hawi. Used to be a whorehouse.....'nuff said. Ono grilled ono for lunch and awesome cocktails

in downtown Kona, Huggo's for HAPPY HOUR in the bar, get the ribs, poke and sizzling Asian mushrooms and remember Mingo tipped you off to it while you are saying HOLY SHIT THIS IS GOOD! :)

Maui: Kool Kats for burgers in Lahaina. Sansei for sushi up where 'da rich folks play......spendy but worth it.

    Mingo,

I'll second, Huggo's in Kailua Kona, but, next time try going south to Drysdale's in Keauhou or for local grinds you gotta go further south to Kainaliu and try Teshima's Restaurant (Pork Chops or Teishoku Plate #3) and Manago Hotel (Pork Chops or Fried Opelu) in Captain Cook. Damn, I don't want you to get lost... Just call and I'll make sure you get there okay...
