Father / Daughter Jigging Trip Report

[Gone2Fish]

I took my daughter out fishing out of key west. We went jigging in a few wrecks. Got cut off several times on the wreck. Three times the sharks helped us with the big mutton’s. They figured we didn’t need those muttons is my thought.

But we did manage to land a few good fish. We used a Temple Reef Power 2 and a Ocea Jigger 1500.

Jigs ranged from JJ to Plate Jerkers and Sea Floor Control Rectors

I was quite pleased with landing the AJ on the setup. He topped out at 57# at the dock. My daughter got the biggest BFT of the trip. And the mutton’s were biting as well.

Good trip over all
She made some good memories.

We fished another day before heading back to Orlando

Caught some flag YT snapper
Lost some beauties ( I’m guessing mutton or smaller grouper) to the local tax collectors. They were out in full force.

I’m low on plate jerkers now

Caught a juvenile Jewfish ( I’m Israeli , sticking with jewfish ) on live bait sadly ….. around 60-70 from looks at boat side. His stomach was deflated and the young grouper went back down safely and successfully

Here is the Juvenile. Forgot to take pics of the Yellowtail at boat side. But we lined them up at the table. ….

Not sure how she came out so amazing. I honestly just thank God everyday. Her younger brother is just as amazing. 17 y/o.
