    So it's looks like previous years that squid start becoming available around this time. Are they from the islands or grabbed somewhere else and brought in? Looking to get some intel on if there is a fall seabass opportunity.

    winds just blew up last night........sea bass..........where are the light boatsters offshore now? clllllllose a couple ago. good question, as it always is..............:)

    They eat the greenback just as well as they eat the squid, you just gotta put in the hours...

    A lot of it comes from the island (Catalina) but that said it will come from the closest place for the bait boats to get it. Here around Long Beach that can mean a number of places along the beach.

    Some of the past few years Nocal has seen big schools of ghosts in the fall. This year has been almost non existent so I venture to bet they didn’t migrate as far north as they have.
