The weather was great as was the food and the company. The fishing was good for small tuna small.YT and some decent Dorado. Not too many Wahoo... around 30? Lou got the JP with a 53# Wahoo. I got a Wahoo with my Lexa 400 throwing a Sea Strike 33. A big change from the last few years. A bunch of people were sick for several days with "tummy problems" including Bart and Tex.

Too bad the Big X doesn't have a Guadalupe permit... sounds like the Ridge and Alijos are not producing all that well again (its be hit and miss there this year for the Hoo and no real sign of an decent grade of YFT to be had). IMO Guadalupe will be a real good option to have on the upcoming (Oct, Nov, Dec) 6-10 day LR trips.

I have a template on my iPad that I fill in as we go. I’ve used the same format for at least 8 trips. It’s not for posting trip reports but to have notes about my trips to refer to later. I only posted it so John could get his fix.

Thanks Mark, All about timing, if Ed and I had not done our 7 day on the RP, I would have been forced to cancel my trip thanks to Hurricane Harvey...life has been rather busy and completely disrupted thanks to him. I do have a local 56 hour tuna trip later in the month. Best news is that I was able to evacuate my freezer and all my fish, so we didn't lose this years fish! See you guys next year!
