Me going fishin'. Actually I am glad they don't have Lupe permits. Caught my share of tuna, I wanna whack Wahoo! To me that's lots more fun than grinding on the rail! Don't get any better than bombs or jig fishing.

I'm heading to the Lupe for the first time in a couple of weeks and looking forward to grinding it out with the tuna and seeing the taxman. But I agree that it is nice having options of whether to fish a boat with permits or choosing one that doesn't have permits in the hopes of hitting the rocks or the ridge.

Yup, got my eye on the 2018 Melton trip for that option. Need to look at historical catches on that trip. Always enjoy the Phenix Late Sept 10 day on the Excel, but always open to options...Hope you guys kill it...

Hey Fishy! I expect the unexpected. A little bit of everything. My first 10 day years ago on the RP cows were outside Mag Bay. First YFT I ever caught was 196#. Was at Lupe last year on the Star and we were there first ones in there and we put a lot of 80 to 130 fish on the boat that first day that we left after one day . Put the hurtin' on the skins at the rocks. They were hitting anything that hit the water. Then jumbo tails on the way home. Great trip.

My first LR trip ever - 10 day Christmas trip on the Excel. Lower Banks.

    24 over 200

    6 over 300

I dont even remember how many in between.

First fish ever for me on a LR trip was a 261.

Amazing fishing when the lower banks are on.

I guess Mark is calling me simple minded. He's probably right. Hell I'd find it difficult to run a rubber machine.

2005 was an epic year on the lower banks. I was lucky enough to be there. Witnessed some epic bites with some great fisherman. That's where the addiction started.

Shh - Jay dont tell them you can make Topshots while imbibing. It will start a whole new thread as to the morality of being drunk while doing something so important like making topshots.
