Dad, Russ and I will be out on the MUGWUMP representing Silver Horde. We'll be fishing our metal flashers. I now have a BB12 in the #837 MUGWUMP pattern! Got a fresh jar of pure krill powder for my herring strips. Ready to roll, even bought dads ticket for him because I am a good son.

Take that bitches! :-)

Me and my daughter will be out there. I didn't get in on the Edmonds derby. I wasn't supposed to be around but ended up going out anyway the two fish i caught that morning would have placed 3rd and 6th go figure...

I hadn’t signed up yet (for the first time in years). Tempting. I might just go buy the tickets just in case I fish that day given the money is for a good cause.

Eric, which boat are you on?

Apparently green label herring is the new toilet paper. Anybody happen to have any extra? I have some black label I’ll cut into strips but wanting a couple for the diver rod.

You're wiping your ass with herring? Never thought about it but maybe I will give it a try :)

You are right that the only thing around is giant purple label herring. Auburn sports had some green at a premium price last week. Also, Sportco , OE have anchovies in the right size which if brined work OK.

I should have a few packs of green and red label left in my private stash. I’ll start the bidding at a sixer of rainier per herring...

Brad's Super Cut plugs. I like the blackjack pattern. After carking out your herring strips , chop up what's left add scent and stuff some inside the bait. Just be sure it's a Gold Star squid or an Ace Hi Fly you're putting the strips on!

5 fish over 11#. Looks like decent grade fish were caught! It sounds like people worked for the fish for sure.

Much better grade than the past few years.

Wasn’t doing the derby, but yesterday started the AM quick with two fish yesterday within 20 min. (7lbs tops). Went home to pick up the smaller crew mates and back out at 8:30 nada for the rest of the morning, called it at 10:30.

Most boats i have ever seen spread out in such a wide area (vs packed in on possession or apple tree); which was kinda nice because it allowed some spacing.

One fish Saturday with two more coming unbuttoned, Got a double on Sunday and again lost another two. Biggest was 7.11 for 141st place. I'll try again next year.
