Where can you dump old hulls? Do they have to be cut up or whole? I always wondered how you get rid of them.

Another reminder what a great investment a boat is.
My hull has a lifetime guarantee, what that means....I don't know yet LOL.
The transom of a boat is the beefiest and most heavy part of the boat.As long as 50% of the weight of that boat is forward of that rear axle that truck wont be doing any wheelies down the road.Looking at the pic it looks so close ill bet they threw some extra crap in that boat just because.

Is there an "after" pic of when the crane released its pressure and the full weight of the hull was resting in the truck?

GVWR is 54,000 lbs. I doubt it was half that.

CHP will love that load job...

As long as he flags it and runs during the daytime he will be good. Needs lights to run at night

That is the "after" pic, the hull is sitting in the bed of the truck. If you look closely.... The lifting rig is turned sideways and where the cables are shown resting is the last place you would attempt to lift it. The hull is gutted to the stringers and is most likely under 10k.

Took a 24ft hull to the Rivco dump several years ago. They charged me $75 special handling fee but they took it in one piece. Pulled the trailer right out from under it.

Or cut them into pieces with a saws all and put into trash. The dump is much easier and cost effective.

Old Hatt. Funny story this vessel was given to a friend of mine. He was going to salvage the motors and running gear. He hired this salvage/hauler that proceeded to just take the vessel from him. He asked me to come look at "the project", I said no thanks this is best sent to the dump.

And no although the interior was mostly removed and the cabin lopped off it still had old v-8 diesels and trannies in there.
