Hey guys, just wanted to put a feeler out there as a sanity check. Is anyone else dissatisfied with the Eclipse Package purchased (specifically the first batch of packages)? I got in with their first 10day package offer in 2013. 10 days of fishing. $1000. I asked all the right questions at the time: what's included, what's not, cancellations, limitations, terms and conditions of use, etc. I wish I had gotten it all in writing, but what I was told was that it's good at cash and anything included as part of the reg trip price would be included when using the permits. Sounded like a steal, and under those conditions, I made the decision to buy in. In the beginning, it was great. Permits were included, food wasn't part of the package so that wasn't an issue. By the next trip, we had to pay for permits, ok, that's fine, I usu get an annual anyway. Then the following year. They started including the food in the price, so we had to start paying for it. $50 a day... I seriously don't eat that well at home, not even close, and definitely not 2 or 3 days in a row. Now. I'm being told that package holders cant book outside of 45 days from the date of the trip, thus, new money gets priority. Just because it was a bad business decision on their part to offer the original packages, doesn't make it ok to retroactively change the terms to milk more money out of their customers. Just checking to see if anyone else feels the same way. I work hard for my money. I think we all do. Some are more fortunate than others, and it's good to keep everything in perspective. This whole fishing community is great because everyone's got an eye on taking care of the crew and the people who take care of us. I think because of that we're all kinda looking the other way on this, but it just doesn't sit right with me. Edit update: Thanks for the suggestions to work it out with Mark and Chris. They went above and beyond my expectations to make sure that I wasn't being cheated. They really are great guys. I will reiterate that the boats they run really are top notch, and they go the extra mile to make sure their customers are satisfied.
