Duck Steel Good for Turkey?

    Fellas,

    With no -lead needed, is a #2 or #4 steel duck load workable? Obviously need to pattern and choke it properly, but is that going to get it done? Or do we need a Turkey specific load?

    Turkey loads usually have a mix of tungsten for more dropping power.I use turkey loads for ducks for that reason.Steel are legal to shoot but you give up some knock down.Tom

    Stay away from steel.....suck it up and buy the turkey loads you can reach out to 70yds with a tight choke.
    It really makes a difference.

    The best I've seen was a hand loaded TSS #9 shot. Supper tight pattern!

    Hope to get Kurt to help load up a few rounds before the season.

    And myself. Now I have an excuse to hit Cabela’s in Texas next month. Like we needed one!
