KEPT IT SIMPLE! (5 years later)
Just got back my lamiglas 526 blank…
That’s right a 526 7’1 25-60lb
I’ve always had a vision of a split grip 527, but with this little more back bone that the 526 has it was game on. A good friend of mine turned me onto a new local wrapper named Curtis who’s company is called “SD custom fishing rods” and after some back and forth measuring and remeasuring. We had it all squared away. 5” forgrip 6” backgrip 3” rear bottom grip with the 1.5” Alps rounded gimbal.
(4.5” bottom) all blacked out Alps XNLG
Guides. Fuji trigger grip. Wala…. SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!
FITS LIKE A GLOVE. It’s LOVE! 40/50lb
Now I’m off to tear down one of my dozen 527’s to give it a twin brother for 25/30lb
THANK YOU “SD CUSTOMS” ive wanted to have this built for over 5 years and now the dreams come true and will be fishing the islands the next few days! I’m not building myself but I just thought I’d share. Curtis you rock brotha thank you!
Fits the 400… PERFECTLY! Ready to rip some lips!
