Bumping to top to see if anyone wants the older stuff before I have it picked up by the scrap guy.

Hubs actually clean up nice as I took one to my bench wire wheel and die grinder.

25880 inner bearings and 15123 are the outer

    I believe it's 1 1/4" to 1 3/4" axle (5200 - 6000LB)

12" Rotors I am sure can be resurfaced and calipers are going to be a maybe on the rebuild.

Well it's been about 5 years since I had my trailer totally serviced. Back in 2017 everything except the the axles were replaced. Religiously made sure hubs had grease and not grease splatter on the back of the rims. Even today back of the rims are perfectly clean. Amazing what saltwater does even after washing off with fresh water. Probably have t do some brake maintenance as well.

Out of 6 one was still good with no water and the grease still red
Check your shit.....don't be the guy on the side of the freeway

A Bearing Buddy can't protect the seal surface on the inner spindle. Rust builds up on the outside and slowly destroys the sea from the outside. Install stainless steel repair sleeves and it will not happen again. Make sure the indicator is completely pushed out after greasing, the spring keeps pressure in the chamber to counter the vacuum that can form when hot hubs hit cold water and suck in salt water.

It's a good idea to go around and feel your hubs for warmth each time you get to the ramp . If there all the same temp your good .

I used to use my hand and a IR temp gun. Acutually keep the temp gun on the boat to make sure my water temp is somewhat accurate. The hubs never read hot so, there goes that theory LOL

Those kodiak lines was what I used. I really like the stainless flare fittings I had zero problems with them. I bought a couple of dexter lines from pacific trailer and They leaked with the brass end. Maybe it was my fault. I may have over tightened them and cracked the flare, not sure. But what I also liked is that you can use a brake line wrench which I couldn’t on the dexters.

If anyone needs this older stuff I am sure it's still serviceable. At least the rotors can be turned. Hubs can be cleaned and new bearings, races and grease. Calipers may or may not be able to be functional/ But I am not "that guy" and I just want all new stuff.

Anyone that wants it feel free to come get in in San Diego 92123. My new stuff should be here Friday so anytime after my new stuff is here the old stuff can go.

What I do is at the start of trailering season jack up each wheel off the ground and spin it fast as you can by hand. If there's a problem with the bearings you'll hear a low rumbling telling you to change the bearings. Use good bearings like Timken and not the cheap China made crap.

    Good advice.

I prefer to not have the plastic seal on the outside of the buddy. That way you can visually inspect it every time you use the trailer and salt water does not get trapped inside leading to what you see in your photos.
