    I built one like that a while back. Very simple and works great. As far as the ceiling racks, they are cheap and not worth making as you can buy these for less than making them.

    I use a milk crate. Each row is the same diameter pvc, but the size of the pvc varies by row. Each row is separated by a piece of thin plywood, which keeps all the pvc tubes standing straight and tall. Very simple, very inexpensive, and very effective.

    Hoping this is not viewed as off-topic: Beware ceiling/rafter racks in uninsulated outbuildings. The heat build-up can ruin rods. Don't ask me how I know.
