Pictures of your home inside and out including contents is good to keep with your policy. I grabbed my file folder with receipts of all my major purchases too for proof of purchase and my folder of credit card statements to show purchases made. I have bought electronics at best buy and they have my purchases on file under my rewards card #. You can always ask for a printout of that if needed later for proof of purchase. I'd add a list of meds to remember such as asthma inhalers, benedryl, cough syrup, eye and nose drops and chap stick. With all the smoke, it's nice to have the basics for comfort when you can't fnd a drugstore open or want to go out again in the smoke to find one. I also packed some washcloths and water bottles. If we got stuck on the freeway in gridlock and heavy smoke, we could wet the washcloths and place them over our mouths to filter the air and breathe through. The basic comforts go a long way when you are away from home! Oh yeah, I packed our 2 laptops and DVD's and cameras. I can stay connected and my girls have movies to watch. They took their Ipods too! And against their will, they took their backpacks for school. They wouldn't want to have to redo their homework all over again and can study for mid-terms for entertainment. We also packed their favorite comfort foods like lucky charms and milk in the cooler and Sun chips and flavored water! I decided after this event that I need to make a checklist to keep handy for future use. To try and remember everything when you are in a stressed out situation is not good. Everything is not stored in one spot so you need a list to remember it all. Stay safe all!
