If you plan on doing some rough driving again I would recommend going to deaver springs in OC for some springs and Bilstien shocks. Deaver springs ride great and the Bilstiens will make it handle nice. You can stay stock hight or go with what ever you want. Ford springs just don't hold up to rough treatment.

Anyone recommend a shop to fix or replace a broken front leaf spring for a Super Duty? It's a 2 leaf, year 2001.

Are you running stock Ford springs now? If so, you might try some of the off road stores that do lifts and ask if they have any stock springs that came off one of the vehicles they've put a kit on. You might get lucky and get a set that'll fit your truck on the cheap.

Ok guys, I got a rough country setup 2 new springs and Bilsteins for what the local guys wanted just for one spring!! I helped this local guy we've been using who does great work on and he's mobile. Let me know if any of you want his business number. My whole body aches

Basically I got a leveling kit for what other shops wanted to just replace the spring. Any recommendations on alignment? Would Sears do 4 x 4 alignment?

Back to my original statement.. :slap:Keep your ford product on the street or soft sand, snow as well.

Your saving grace is Ford axles.

El Cajon Springs is your friend.

Kurt, do you have the proper bump stops and straps to keep the new shocks from getting hosed on the next rock you hit? Are you letting the air pressure down a bit when you're playing Parnelli? There's more to it than just shocks and springs... :D
