All our family has had the flu since the kids got out for Christmas break, and yesterday was the first day we felt good enough to go fishing, but the bait pump was out on the boat, and the boat just was not ready,so made reservations, against my better judment,to go on the premier. We got down to the landing at 630,and they decided they did not have enough people,so we got stood up.It pissed me off,so went and got a bait pump and got the boat ready, bought visas, and went down to Descanso today.Found 12 yellows on the iron and dropper loop fishing for rock cod,and had excellent red fishing for 5 of us.Kids had a blast, water was perfect.Got checked by Mexican Navy, had all paperwork, including temporary import permit, all good to go,and dfw checked us at ramp, and had all our decs filled out correctly,no issues.

Nice recovery to get on the water and great catching. Kids look stoked.

My luck was not as good trying to splash our boat over the holidays. One thing after another; 5 new trailer tires, outdrive lube change, power steering leak, and then the shifter control imploded. At least I have some time to fix it all before spring.

My son and I went on the Premier the next day (yesterday) and had "good as it gets" fishing for big reds and a few nice lings. This is a very well run operation and a great opportunity for some good eating fish while they offer this trip.

Looks like a good time to me. Great job putting the kiddos on fish. A question how do you get same-day clearance to fish down south I was under the impression that it took a couple of days to get FMM stuff
