We picked up our new Defiance 220 yesterday. Took my Dad and eldest Son with me for our sea trial and could not be more pleased. The folks over there built us an amazing boat and have more than gracious and helpful whenever I had questions, comments or changes to make. My wife and I bought this for our family and is where we hope to love and laugh and kill those pesky sea creatures we love to eat for years to come. So if someone wants to show me their secret spots in Area 7, I'll buy the gas.....lol. This is a big step up for us from our Trophy 1802 and FYI, trim tabs are the best, just the best I tell ya.

Congrats on the new ride! That's a good looking boat. There are no secret spots but if you see another Defiance on the water you can certainly reach out. Tight Lines!

Looks like a great ride. I am sure you and the family are gonna have some fun on her, you just need to get the first scratch out of the way.

Getting to share this with my 86 year old Dad leaves me speechless, He has been my hero and fishing partner. He helped my wife and I raise our two boys into responsible, honest young men. Going to take him and my youngest out thursday, weather and wind permitting, to Westport for a shake down trip, and hopefully some Rockfish and Lings. My kid says he won't put a line in the water until Grandpa catches the first fish on the new boat. Then it's full bore towards Halibut. Thanks for the kind words everyone and be safe out there.

Great looking ride. You will have a ton of fun in that thing.

The wide open access to the cuddy is something you will really like. We have the same thing and it makes a great spot for the kids to hang out on flat water, or open up that front window and take a nap at the dock.

Anybody want to be how long it is before you slap a bait tank on that deck?

Nice, that's awesome getting 3 generations on a new boat for the sea trial!

My advice would be to get a permatrim and get your prop dialed in right off the bat, from the people know with 220's they sure seem to make a difference.

200HP.....and I know that lots of folks think I should have got the 250. lmao. I'm happy with the power as is, and if I need to repower someday that will go over better with my lovely budget hawk. 2 footitis is bad, 50 horsepoweritis is good.
