Here we go. Tuning up the new Bowtech and moving stands around. We wait all year for this! What's your game plan?

Colorado archery elk. Heading out next week for opener. Solo. Been a long wait alright. Might be a long 'hiking trip' with my NoCam due to all the fires.

    Good luck!

    So what's for dinner?

Carlo is going and maybe Miguel. Kevin a Roman should stop by after they shoot doves.

Two B Tags. I couldn’t hunt archery due to a work injury but I scouted my butt off. I’m seeing lots of bucks in the burn areas. The 2-4 year old burns are producing a lot of young deer and there is a lot of toads in the steep country. That’s a good sign for years to come. Our annual phone company opening day trip should be a killfest.

Five days local. Around 10 deer spotted. One coulda shoulda doe at 25 yards but had back half not front half so passed on it. Biggest cat I've ever seen. Easily 200 lbs. At first I thought it was a big boar then saw that tail. Weather PERFECT. Worth every minute. Got me a wood permit and brought home a load of oak so paid for the trip.

It was not a kill fest. Our party only got one buck opening day although we should have had more. It’s been tough this year so far.

Drought is killing us, only 5 deer down so far and that's even counting friends camped near us not exactly in our group!! 4 bucks and a small doe. These Santa Ana winds are no fun either.

Oh well, didn't even know if it was going to happen this year between work being crazy and friends having medical problems so just damn glad to be up. 2 weeks left!!.

Our party tagged out int h first three weeks. Between 7 of us we put 14 deer down. 5 were does and the other 9 were bucks. 4 bucks were huge wall hangers the rest were freezer deer. Was a great season this year in CA.

Wyoming we did great as well. 7 bucks down opening morning. 4 antelopes down on the opener. Still wwaiting to head up to the high country for elk.
