I need to re-surface the deck of my Parker 2320...Any suggestions for what material/paint to use? Is this a DIY task or should I hire a professional? Any recommendations?

Marine plywood coated in west systems epoxy,while epoxy was still wet I sprinkled fine crushed walnut shells,after it cured I wire brushed off by hand any loose shells,then vacuum and coat in a 2 part lp paint of your choice..twice.
Just used Kiwi grip on the cabin floor of my 2320. I really like the way it turned out and will do the rear deck with it next year.
We are re-doing our boat with SeaDek.

Just a few weeks ago i applied TotalTread from Total Boat on my Parker 1801 and i love it. If you can paint, you can use this. Prep work is key to a good finish. Masking off areas you dont want nonskid on will really make the work pop.
Its $79 a gallon and i used maybe a 1/4 gallon for my 1801 just to give you an idea. oh and that was two light coats. It held up really well in rough seas and never once did we feel any slippage.

There are a couple guys doing a 40 Tolly on my dock.They are using LP with glass beads.Looks great and not too rough,they also did a 47 Viking.I used it years ago on my 37 Striker.Tom

I just had SeaDek do my coaming pads, looks great, while I was in their shop I looked over some of the stuff they did, really great stuff.
For those concerned with cost, they gave me a estimate $1400 to do my rear deck (28 ft boat).

That sea deck stuff looks great! I would imagine a job like Billy did would have to run you around 3k to do.
Anyone know if the Kiwigrip is stain resistant? I have a hard time getting blood and dirt stains off of my Parker deck, plus it's worn down...thinking of going with the Kiwi. Any info would be appreciated!

I can handle repainting every 5-7 years for $ but to rip out this stuff after 7? years for $$$ then replace it for $$$. I would have a hard time justifying the expense for something pretty to walk on.
