Did I see it drive through Watsonville this morning? I was gonna give a bloody decks salute but I have hand crank windows so instead I just admired it from the road.

Little slower and less fuel efficient due to prop angle. All losses are made up for in the savings on blown drives most likely though.

I got 1800 hours out of my D4-260 Outdrive before I had to replace it for $13K

this boat isn't slow. This is my buddy's old boat he iwas the original owner. Tony Atnes did the shaft conversion. He blew a few drives and got tired of it. GLWS

Beautiful boat so practical and well thought out. This engine is also great, I have two in my boat and have really enjoyed them. 5500 hours on mine and they Are still turning and burning.

    GLWS.

Slow is relative. He cruises at 17 knots with a 315. The explorer I had cruised at 17 knots with the 240 volvo duoprop. Still prefer the shafted version though.

Precision Marine Outriggers, 2-piece fiberglass. I'm not sure if they make that particular model any longer.
