My buddy wanted to take his nephew and a friend out fishing on a half day boat, so we went out of Dana Point on the two for one Tuesdays Dana Pride. We went up the coast to fish near he kelp. Cold water moved in so the fishing was trouble. I did set the hook on a fish and yelled for my buddy to get his nephew so he could reel in the fish, but it felt too big for the first timer to handle. Ended up a 25-30lb black sea bass. Everyone got to see it take a quick photo and then it was released. We ended up with no fish, but the kids still had a great time.

    that's the Captain.

Either way, the water dropped from 66 degrees to 59 degrees over the weekend. Just not ideal fishing conditions when you were there. :2gunsfiring_v1:

I was on the trip and took the picture. Captain made a sincere effort to net the fish, remove the hook and get the fish back in the water after a quick photo or two. The fish vigorously swam away from the boat...and yes, the blonde and the brunette in the background had nice cans.

exactly. And as a Captain, he's probably caught and released alive 100x more BSB than alot of people on here that are quick to jump the gun.

Should have been the brunette pulling on it. More pictures of the crumpet with big cans is always a good thing.....
