Got a little later start than I had wanted and launched the boat around 6:30am and waited in line for bait for nearly 30 minutes. Got a nice half scoop of mixed size lively sardines. Worked the zone of 5-8 miles out from the point down to the domes and back. Then from the point to the 267 and back for about 6 paddies. None of the paddies had game fish on them, but all of them had hoards of mini macs the length of my hand about 15 feet under them. All the paddies I found were about the size of a trash can lid or two, nothing really large. The water temp was about 71.5-73.9 degrees everywhere I went. Simply just wasn't my day. Although the weather was absolutely wonderful until about 1pm, at least that was on my side.
