Got half scoop of deans about 8:30 am. headed out 130 feet deep off jetty. stopped on some bait marks, got sandbass and sculpin, drift was unusual and up the coast, a bit too much, so we moved in shallower 80-90. more of the same.

headed south into 40 feet for more of the same, then ended up in 50 feet off poche, then a seal tagged us and followed us up and down the coast. fish were biting everywhere we stopped, calicos, sand and sculpin. but we would get one drift in and the seal was back.

then wind died down so we headed back north off the jetty to get rid of the seal. started in 80 feet ang got more of the same. then finally got a nice 37" halibut, over the 20 pound mark. also got on 28" halibut last Friday in 130 feet - so they may be moving in.

Caught fish on "sardine megabaits 2.5 OZ", hookup baits - blue and sardines. weight 8-4 oz. 15 pound leaders with a swivel below the weight with 3 - 5/0 lite circle hooks.

all done about 2. a handful of legal bass, about 6 large sculpin, a white fish on a megabait, on sole and the Hali.

fish finders work, when we saw them we caught them, taking the time to set the drift over the structure and marks seemed to pay off.
