I have noticed recently rotational play/slop that is like a cm at the handle which is really annoying. If I press down or pull up on the spool it moves the handle within it’s sloppy range. I took it apart and took a look at the drive gear unit. The gear part (big round thing) can rotate a bit while the axle part is kept still. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I don’t know much about reels but decided to open this up and I couldn’t figure it out. Thank you

Below that is 1 video of that part taken out and showing what is rotating that shouldn’t be. Any ideas?

How old is the reel?
Heavy use?

Could possibly by a loose screw on the oscillating gear or elsewhere.
Possible worn or dirty Roller Clutch (ARB)
If used heavily, the gears could be worn

With that much play, it's usually a loose screw. At lease that's what I have experienced with my spinners.

Here is the video of the gear moving on the axle or whatever it’s called. Any ideas how to fix? Just need a new part?

Sold my Parker. You can find me on the Red Rooster.
I may not understand the problem, but the anti-reverse bearing should not allow any handle slop. If you have some, the arb is shot.
