can't wait to put my new gear to the test...
Perfect! I'm gonna bust out my red and white bobbers and my big rods for the catfish now that we know what water temp we are looking for!!!
I didn't see tuna on that chart, I think that chart is busted.
Although I hear your horizens are broader this year -Lawrence.
I can only imagine how gratifying it'll be to kill a tuna with that reel.
So are we gonna run to the 70 deg water and fish Walleye?
That is some pretty sweet gear, now the Cat will be complete.
You have no other choice than to run those on your troll spread...
If I'm smiling at the thought of an albacore at the other end of the line...I can't even imagine what you would be feeling.
Fuck all that, place all of these belongings in a glass cased memorial.
The memorial idea is perfect! BUT first catch a tuna on one of the reels and add that pic of yourself to the memorial, that will then be complete and make you smile every time you see it!!!!!!!! Go get them Laurence, you charter buying mofo.
Nice find. Want a pic of you holding reel and tuna. Need a bamboo rod now to go with it
are those elephants on your shirt?
his wife bought the shirt for him,
Brother's shirt!! I took the photo. Dad has, literally, 100s of crankbaits, 1,000s of plastic worms, grubs, jigs, and bags of spinnerbaits and other bass tackle that has rarely seen the light of day. He should not have been allowed in Bass Pro Shops or Turners and should have been blocked from online retailers. Holy crap. Today is the day to go through lots of it. I was going to lay it all out for a photo, but there's too much and it's just too damn hot in the garage (over 100°).
That is Awesome. ..I especially like the temperature gauge, way cool. Install on the boat so it can be moved to the next boat, every time you look at it, it will bring back good memories of Dad!
I wonder if you'll run across a Color-C-Lector
I remember these were the shiznit back in the '80s
swallow the leader needs that guage
I don't see that Abu listed in my copy of Lawsons price guide. Must be a Sweden/Europe model?
Aw hell, they still sell that f'n thing.
Not a European/Sweden model. It's IFGA series. Frame is made from stainlesss steel. Drag material is cork. Amazing lever drag design, with drag on left side plate which balance out mass on both sides. Simple 1 screw takedown, no tools required similar to a Penn Jigmaster.
I wish someone would take this design and update it with modern materials and make a smaller version.
