Continuing my 2021 tournament season in Florida, I was fortunate enough to capture another Top-10 finish using the custom rods I've built.

Over the year, I have come to really appreciate a custom Senko rod I built using an American Tackle Bushido CB72/ 10-20 blank. This rod has been exceptionally awesome for lighter finesse application and the notorious Florida technique, a weightless Senko. The rod has just enough tip to feel the bait dragging through the grass and even the smallest of bites, but has enough backbone to handle even bigger fish in grass. I was able to see that first hand with this tournament Big Bass weighing 9.3lbs

I know several anglers who throw finesse type applications and senkos out west. So if your looking for the perfect weightless Senko rod or light Texas-Rig rod, I highly recommend this blank!!!

Nice Theron. Must be very satisfying to teach yourself to build rods, learn our offerings, then apply them to exactly what you'll be doing, and finishing with success. Good job!

Keep building, and cashing those checks.....

Did you build rods before working for AT? Nice delicious bass BTW.
Hey Jason,

Previous to working at AT I wasn't a rod builder. However, I had significant experience with Fly Tying and building custom tackle working with Do-It Molds. So becoming a rod builder added to my arsenal of building custom equipment for on the water.
