Just acquired these 2 rods and was curious of you guys that have these...do you feel the 6480 and F90J are a 30 or 40#? Thanks

The 6480 is a solid 30 lb. rod, the 90J is a solid 40 lb. surface iron rod. The 90J was one of Cousins hidden gems based on the original Seeker 90J pattern.

What’s the line rating on the 6480

I have one that is 40-60 I believe or maybe 30-60. It’s a solid 40lb and 50lb in my opinion.

If it says something like 30-50.
It is still a solid 40 or 50lb , IMO

30 would be too light , although the tip is nice and soft enough to fish 30 It’s got a lot back to fish 40-50.

Thanks guys, both Cousins rods state 30-50# but the 90j tip seems lighter and the 6480 seems more stout...thus my question..haha. Still need to fish them.

Seeker and Calstar have a 6480, 6480h and 6480xh. My buddy has the Seeker 6480 and it is most definately a 30# rod. But the Calstar gg6480 to me feels like a 40#.

I fish 40lb on a 6480... but Ive even fished 50lb on a GG. Its a 30-60 rating... but I seem to fish more in the mid to upper ranges on rods more so than alot of Guys on here. Grafighters even more so. Ill throw iron with 40lb on a 900M... suits me just fine...
