We left shelter island about 7AM. Little traffic at the ramp and bait barge. Only 3-4" pinner anchovies available.

The weather was awesome with little wind and swell.

Our plan was to fill the freezers with bottom fish at the islands, and boy did we. The fish were on the chew and we limited out. Highlights included a 12# sheephead and a...61# white seabass. Both were weighed on Dana Landing's scale- Thanks guys!

Most fish, including the toads were caught on chunks of squid on the bottom. The white seabass was caught at 200'+ deep.

I think we saw one other boat and a couple whales.

Good times. Will post a pic when at home later.

Love bottom fishing at the Coronados. Great job. Kinda long ways to weigh your fish though. Try SD Marlin club next time.

Yong, yes it was time consuming to drive over to mission bay, but the marlin club was closed Monday.

Of course, I couldn't get my damn pics loaded from my Iphone to my mac. I recently upgraded my 6-7 year old mac to the El Capitan os and I couldn't get my photos to import. Anyone have any ideas other than taking a hammer and performing some percussive maintenance?
