With a light load of only 15 we left the dock at 8pm Monday night, loaded up some small dines, (the norm now they said) and OFF we went south, starting at 65miles South Tuesday morning.Capt,Jimmy, 2nd Vince, Bryant cooking great food,a a top notch deck Crew of Scott,Matt and Luke to handle the carnage. The first of 3 paddies went nuts for 45 Yellowtail 5-25lbs. This early we thought maybe limits of 75 for 15, but ended up with 60. On seas of glass. We stopped on one paddy after another, some the size of 5 car garage (see pics) with nada to 1-2 fish on them all day. All of a sudden we spot a football field of 50-100lb Bluefin going crazy and zoomed in. 8-10 of us threw Poppers, Megabaits, Colt=Snipers, jigs when WHAM, 2 guys get bit, one an 82yr old father with his son along. 2nd pulls the hook, and after sharing the battle on 40lb for an hour, a fat 65# bluefin hits the deck. NICE! We metered bluefin at 120ft several times, dropping flat falls for no biters. Geez Although many dorado were metered or seen zooming around under the boat, only 2 were decked, a few pulled hooks jumping, the norm fishing those. Soon a LONG HOT DAY ended, and the hot shower never felt better. A Pork Tenderloin dinner and off for some zzzz's My bionic repaired shoulder held out, but pretty damn sore today, so i'll let it heal more before any more trips. It's busting loose gang, the whole 9 yards is there now. THANKS TO JIMMY AND THE WHOLE CREW, WE HAD BLAST WHILE IT LASTED. GET OUT THERE PEOPLE!
