Ya I kinda ran into the same issue, while I prefer to release smaller grade others were killing chicken's, I would really like to see colored numbers when a person exhausted their colored numbers for that species they have their limits, back off the rail and have a beer.

Also, say everyone has limits of yt. Now how does that work when there are also Dorado that count as 10 fish.

From the fish counts it looks like you can keep 5 YT and 2 Dorado

Looks like an awesome trip! Glad you were able to whack em, and good work Capt for taking care of the 5yr old! My 4yr old is begging to go out on the party boats, maybe next year!

That means that some people caught and kept more than 5 and when all was said and done, we had at least 5 dead yellows per person. Honestly we had one or two fuss over this issue and the rest of us just fished.

That is correct in Mexican waters.

They have an excellent fish hold. My fish was ice cold for the ride home. Who has time to tag all those fish during a wide open bite. Bounce your fish, rip a gill and bag it! The crew will tag and ice it after the bite cools down.

You Know It is a personal limit not a boat limit, and I for one do not keep small YT I prefer to catch and keep my own personal limit of quality fish, seems all these boats are interested in is boat limits, colored tags will eliminate this problem.

Way to get rid of some of those rats so we will have a chance at the bigger ones.

You mean like this one? Look, I released most of my yellows that day and kept what I felt were decent fish. Regardless if I kept any, the boat was going to limit out and that included 5 fish per crew. Oh and by the way, I released a large one, so get out there and get yourself one! :D

I get what you're saying, but you would have limited out this day whether you kept fish or not. We had 37 on the boat and when all was said and done and the fish were counted, we had boat limits. That means that some caught and kept more than 5. It is what it is.

You would have to get the fleet to buy into it and I doubt that would happen any time soon. :D

Was meant more to the fleet than the angler. Definetly not you. If the fleets would practice a little more catch and release on those poor rats, let anglers know they can release if they choose. Oh I forget they need to keep those counts high to keep people coming. Sorry for the rant BDers!

FISH HOLDS? It's a 90ft tuna boat..YES Two big RSW holds and the slammer
hold tons of fish. We first cut the gil plates of tuna, bigger yellows and put
in the gunnies to bleed. Then when the bite shuts off, they're all tagged
with your # and in the hold. RSW=Recirculating Salt Water at about 35F LOL
Fish bled then cold is the best eating fish you'll ever eat! LOL

PS I got one of 2 Yellowfin tuna on Condor with a Purple Halco,on the troll.
the 2nd was caught on a Zucchini Feather. FYI Trolling thru porpoise schools.
