Mexico and Mexicans from all THE BAJA CLAIFORNIA NORTE AND SUR are thinking to ban AMERICAN COMMERCIAL SPORT FISHING BOATS FROM OUR WATERS so if you guys wanna go fishing you can go on your personal boat or have a pangero to take out fishing.

This is my first post here and the purpose was to let ya all know what’s going on on that side the out come was hate and retaliation against Mexicans and Mexico that want to keep our fishing industry for the good of Baja and their people yes no country is perfect remember the slogan LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT THIS I LEARNED HERE IN AMERICA AND I LOVE IT I’m Baja native from LA PURISIMA BCS I got family all over Baja from los cabos to Ensenada except Tijuana that place really sucks ass, 80% pangeros from Ensenada,Loreto,santa Rosalía, La Paz, isla de cedros, cabo, bahía tortugas, yes I hope it happens for the good of Baja and if you can’t buy a boat or rent a panga don’t go fish in Alaska San Diego I mean you wanna hate unless you want the same GOD BLESS AMERICA THAT GIVE ME MY FAMILY FRIENDS NEIGHBORS AND MY SUPER PANGA QUE VIVAVA MEXICO CABRONES

I'm not of Mexican descent but sometimes I'm a little surprised how blatant some folks in the sportfishing world can be in their sentiments against the Mexican people. I think the fleet is very fortunate that they are allowed to fish those super productive waters. Yes I'm sure there's lobbying etc to make it happen as money talks everywhere

Mexico is just different than us, not better or worse just different. Sure they have cartels and crime,we have random mass shootings and crime too. They have fucked stuff just like us. The country just does things differently
I hope they don’t shut down more areas, it’s getting to be pretty slim pickings already. I was fortunate to get to fish those places that are closed now, too bad they can’t figure stuff out to open them to a limited number of boats

Maybe i didnt understand the orginial post... but if MX did indeed restrict US sportfishers from entering MX waters then the sportfishing fleets would move to MX and all the gringos would be flying or driving into enseneda to jump on the sportfihsing boats. Economy in Ensenada would blow up

Driving to Ensenada to jump on a sportfishing boat? I don’t even like leaving my truck overnight in Fisherman’s Landing…last thing I’m gonna do is leave it parked in Mexico for an 8-day.

It's one thing to post up about the attitude of visiting fishermen coming to Mexico.

Well there are not too many places left where they can fish. I think the rebound of cedros is an example of what can happen when the SD fleet is banned. I can easily see this happening.

The Mexican people that I've meet in Mexico have been warm and gracious and they're not the problem. The Government from the Police to the President are so crooked that when they die they have to screw them in the ground to bury them. The Cartels are killing 100,000's people with bullets and drugs a year these are the people that have ruined Mexico and there reputation and why people badmouth the whole country.

Hard feelings develop when our sportboats go in shallow and compete with the panga fishermen.... Unfortunately for the Baja locals, political decisions are all made in MEXICO CITY where cash for permits is king and screw the little guy. But, ecology is taking shape and eventually, could result in more closures...
