Is one better than the other? Price? Durability? Availability?

Thoughts?

Can't find Madmacs so going to start looking for something else that can't be found...LOL

A friend and I just ordered some Tackle House "Clear Dot" from Japan. About $34ea, including the shipping. Shipping was only like 4 days. I couldn't find the Clear ones anywhere.

The Clear/Purple Feed work just as well as the clear.

I never took the Ghost Popper out of the package, but side by side comparison (when Dana still had them) the TH Feed 150 had IMO better components.

Fisherman's had a bunch of the 150 Ghost Poppers a few days ago.

I use a 7’8” spinner with a 6500 slammer 3. 65 braid. 100lb 2.5’ leader. Casts a long way. I cast over foamers and bring it in. They’ve got inertia balls in them.
How do you like pulling on big fish with the spinner?

Bought a Phenix 8 foot rod with a Shimano Saragosa SW6000 and put 65lb braid on that as well. Have not used it yet....

Not sure I am going to like pulling on the spinner....I'm old and my inertia balls have shriveled up....LOL

Landed a 50lb bluefin on a PSW 809HS and Slammer 5500 at Tanner last year. It was doable, but I have no desire to fight a non-schoolie bluefin on that rod ever again lol. Too tall and too fast action for me.

Those of you BD'er that have made purchases of the clear poppers, would you be kind enough to include the approximate prices of the different brands/sizes?? TIA.
$40 for the clear Ghost 150. There was also a smaller one for the same price...

Yeah that's the same rod that I have. Would love to try it out on something in the 30lb range but when I pull up on these bluefin foamers all I see are tuna backs of fish in the 100lb pound range coming out of the water and I get the pucker factor

It's a fun rod otherwise! It's handled 30lb bf and lots of yt just fine. I'm a small guy so you'll prob fare better than me.

    Where'd you buy the ghosts?

I just tried my Feed for the first time last weekend. Had a yellowfin go full nat geo and launch out of the water on it. Missed it but was epic to see. I also just bought a 8’ proteus H, and a BG6500 loaded up with 65lb for the popper. We’ll see how it goes

It’s ok. Can’t rail it. But it’s worth the suffering. Just pass it off if too big. 🤣

2 for $18 direct from China - Aliexpress

Works great last a long time. Acetone with scotchbrite will remove the paint. A dremel with a wire wheel will remove paint as well.

There is a D and U shape Noeby Feed Popper.

Bought a couple Ghost 150's today to try out. Upgraded the hooks to 3/0 4X trebles and used stronger rings to attach.

Maybe I will just snag one....LOL

The stock hooks and ring have landed butt loads of fish 100# and over. They are Mustad 2/0 4X hooks. You'er good to go. Just check out the kid/BFT slayer in the red jammies.

If the 150 is to light to cast maybe try some lead tape. U can get it at dicks or Amazon. A lil weight goes along way

Aliexpress has the 175 Noeby in three types of clear. It is heavier and if you put heavy duty hooks on - it will cast further. This model doesn't have hooks. You will need split rings and hooks.
