With proceeds from our "Big Fish Tournament" we have scheduled our 1st "Children of the Troops" charter. This is where we take kids of active military families out fishing. :lux:

The date is 02/25/2007 on the SeaWatch out of Seaforth Sportfishing. We will be doing a 1/2 day trip from 1pm to 6pm with a BBQ upon our return.

I felt it was important to let those who fished the tourney see we really are setting up these trips.

If you know of any kids 7 to 17 who's parents are active military that would like to go please let me know. There are flyers that are being printed for MCAS, Camp Pendelton and 32nd street through the rec center on MCAS.

If you would like to help with the BBQ we would be happy to see you there.

I also wanted to mention that John Roe of the Friend of Rollo & Seaforth has helped get this trip together.

Jason, let me know if you guys are short on $ and taking up donations.
I'll send you down a check.
Not sure if I'll be able to make it down from O.C. to help on the BBQ but I'll let you know.
Thanks for helping organize something like this, very cool of you. :appl:

Between the Club & friends of Rollo everything is paid for. What really helps is guys coming down & joining the club. We are going to try & put on at least 2or 3 more trips before the end of the year. We actually do a ton of stuff throughout the year like, Poway Lakes Kids fishing Derby, Lindo Lakes Catfish Derby, We help at the Friend of Rollo booths throughout the year, we help Lori Byron with her Tournament, and a bunch of other stuff I can't think of.

It's a really cool club especially if you want to get your kids involved. We have kids division at all of our club tourneys and every kid wins something at our monthly club raffle. If anyone wants to know more about the club just send me a pm or you can go to SDRRC Home Page

No you don't need to live here.

1 think that I thought was bitchen the club voted on, is if your are active military the club is allow you & you immediate family (Spouse & Kids) to join the club for no charge in 2007.

Just got off the phone with the rec center from MCCS. Looks like they have about 15 kids signed up & the flyers haven't even circulated yet. Should be a good time.

Thanks for all the offers for help.

We have a a full boat with 31 kids going. got plenty of fish to BBQ if anyone want to come down and help prep, cook or just come down to eat a taco and say hey.

We'll be BBQ-ing at seaforth sportfishing, just next door to where we have the blood drives. Hope to see you there.
