Hey that PWC would work great for San Diego Coast. Head out early am at 30-40mph fish for 3-4 hours and get back to the harbor before the wind picks up if you're lucky... But you would need a back up boat that's fer sure... and a tall vhs antenna but I do like this guys thinking.

I know Brian from a few other forums.

He uses a Yamaha SUV pwc which is the biggest one ever made, a 4-seater with considerable storage units through the back of the seat area. The SUV was discontinued about ten years ago, and they use 2-stroke engines which scare me for the application he uses it for although he rarely does venture far off-shore. Some people have been buying these skis up and putting in the M1 motor (4-stroke motor found in the FXHO like mine) for 4-stroke mileage/reliability. That would be the ultimate fishing/travel platform although it would make for a bumpier ride in the open ocean here in Hawaii.

1/2 a hour to clean up and put it away? Well, I suppose if the clean-up included a walk down to the corner market and back for some more beverage...

OK, yeah some of us ski guys have no choice.....I would love a 30'Mosquito like Shawn's in Kaneohe, but if rigging my ski to fish is the only way I can bring fish home...then so be it. Not many comforts on the ski, especially on the w/w side where you're blasted with spray on EVERY wave. Makes the beverage taste good in the evening, that is for sure! I just rigged my ski to fish and when I get the skunk off...I will post a pic for my nautical brothers. Wish me luck, I'm sure I am in for some hilarious stories...after I'm safely back to shore of course!

GOOD LUCK!

I may be heading out on Sunday myself, depends on the winds... Diving, not fishing tho.
