    Hello Folks,

I am headed down to San Jose nest week and looking for a good charter company for a day of fishing. I would prefer a Sportfisher over a Panga.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

    Thank You

Hey HR, I think if you want a sport fisher in SJDC, Gordo Banks is your best bet. I thought the same until I ran into Capt. Nino Rochin. Something to consider, he has a 28 ft panga that is nicely rigged for fishing. I think his panga is the largest in SJDC. I believe he had a Honda 150 newer outboard motor. Great seating, bait capacity and a flush head (no buckets) and he loves his stereo.

That day we fished with him, we were highest boat count for the day.

I just found his card. His email is [email protected] and phone from US is 011-52-624-142-4856. I think his son usually answers as he speaks better English.

Not affiliated with him, just had a great time with him and will book him again when I head back.

Here's one of the YT I caught on the yoyo jig back in April 2013

Talk to ERIC, he has a center console, I think its a 25' Parker. He also has some Californians.
He also contributes the best fishing report of the Baja area to this forum, every week!!!
Capt Rochin's set up sounds good too... Give 'em both a try, you're goin' need more than one day fishing.
