    Just tie it on and go. No need to worry about it. been fishing MANY jigs this way for years. It is not a problem.

    I've started to add second rings on many of my jigs, or use a tactical clip, and I think it helps. I had the same idea about the weld, but fortunately the newer Caivo jigs seem to use a TIG weld on the rings that is pretty small and relatively smooth. It's not a big brass brazing blob. But if in doubt, or on other jigs I have retrofitted, I'll hit the braze with a dremel tool to smooth it out. Probably unnecessary, but I'm a tinkerer.

    Is this a matter of matching the hatch (size of the bait) as all swim pretty much the same? I have a few of these and need to fish them but haven't been able to get out. Curious if there is a sweet size or 2.

    There are differences to each but I would start day in and day out with the 5x and adjust from there based on what the day brings, and more importantly, the attitude of the fish.
