Did it again this year! Went on an eight day fishing trip with Shogun to Guadalupe Island and Alejos. I caught a decent amount of Yellow-Fin that ranged from 47-64lbs. I caught some Wahoo that ranged about 37-68.8lbs. What's even crazier is how I caught the Wahoo. Originally, we were fishing for Dorado, and were rigged up for Dorado; however, I ended catching not one, but 5 Wahoo's! I was using a fluorocarbon leader and a circle hook. Luckily, my line wasn't cut with the set up I was using. I guess its better to be lucky than technical sometimes right?
I also caught a few Yellow-Tails. I lost 5 Yellow-Fin's because my line broke, and another 2 by shark attacks. Overall, it was an amazing trip, and better yet, I got to spend my birthday out at sea. A big thanks to Shogun for their incredible crew, and also to Doc Ski for putting this trip together. I'm looking forward to next year's trip. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg 4.jpg 5.jpg 7.jpg 6.jpg 8.jpg 9.jpg 10.jpg 11.jpg 12.jpg 13.jpg 14.jpg

That doesn't suck! I always get a kick out of the shark bitten tuna, amazing how they can eliminate those things like cookies! Did the wahoo fight harder than the YFT?
