Catching Crawfish to Eat SD Area

    Anyone know where you can legally catch crawfish for human consumption. The closest lake to my location is Lake Murray.

    Yes I know can buy them from the Asian Markets but where's the fun in that. Any help would be appreciated

    There's plenty to be had in the creek below the Lake Murray dam - up to you to figure out access.

    San Marcos Creek on Discovery near Fry's. Bacon tied to a stick and lift it every couple of minutes. I lived on the creek in the 90's and spent many Saturday mornings fishing for dad's before Bugs Bunny came on. Only used them for bait though.

    That gully is inhabited by homeless now. They're probably eating them.
