Picked up a half scoop of squid from Nachos and headed to the back side. A little choppy but was able to maintain 22÷24 mph. Fishing by 7:15. Water was greenish blue 63.5 - 65 degrees in the morning. Targetted white seabas in the Palisades with no love. Got to pull on a 40# ray for a while. Moved west for lots of small calicos and a couple short cudas. Little Harbor produced more small calicos and one sandy. West end front was looking dead so heded to Izors. Slayed the sandys for an hour and a half. On our final drift of the day, our motor died and would not restart. I suspect a fuel pump issue. Weather was unbelievable. We got to pull on some fish... Now the slow ride back and the walk of shame to the dock 20170503_111841.jpg 20170503_143512.jpg

Looks like you gave it a good shot man, solid effort. Hope the fix is fast and inexpensive if that's such a thing on a boat. You'll get 'em next time bro.

looks and sounds like a great day on the water. no shame about a day of fishing as long as everyone made it home...

Thanks for the report. Better to break down inshore, than the back side of Catalina. That's a long slow ride of shame back. LOL

    Classic shirt btw.

Sounds like some beautiful fresh air and a few tugs on the line! Shame about the motor hope it is something silly simple and cheap, i been wrenching on my twins all off season in hopes to stave off such a situation. Again though you made it home safe thats all that matters!!
