Picked up a scoop of squid and hit the West End and backside of Catalina yesterday. Ride over was good to go, the right back was snotty. No YT or WSB, we did get a good number of Sheepshead and Calicos, a lot of catch and release and a few were kept. Ended the day with a 22.5 lb Halibutt on a 2 oz slider rig with a live squid. The net was too small for this flatty and Art made an excellent gaff in the gill plate area and leaving the meat pristine

No exotics, but a decent halibut for sure. Thanks for the report.
