Left MDR early Friday morning, got bait at Redondo, and headed around the west end to salte verde. On the way over we stopped on a couple big barn door paddies. One of them was holding yellowtail but they were shy... Water was 70-74 all the way over and clean. Saw a sea turtle right off the west end which was really cool. Landed a 10-15lb class yellow at salte verde. The rest of the weekend consisted of ridiculous amounts of barracuda. We decided to go look offshore between the west end and Santa Barbara Island. The water was super clean and 72 degrees. Lots of life as far as bait, whales, dolphin, ect... unfortunately there weren't any paddies holding, at least the ones we stopped on. Could be a really good area in a couple weeks.
