Sorry for late post, got back late last night and fell asleep before the kids did. Got to Nachos around 6am for a half scoop of nice sized squid, headed straight to Whites, not much life, then to Empire, Yellow Tail pt, a little life, long soaks, had dropper loop and free line going, no current, no luck. Heading back towards Frog Rock, same story, and same story. Hit every spot to the east end. Pretty much hopscotch with the same 5 boats including a couple charters, no one was putting the right kind on the deck that I saw. I could not find current for the life of me. When I did find a little current I didn't make any fish, but kept at it and kept moving till I thought it looked good. I spoke with some guys at the docks and they said the same thing up on the west end. I am sure someone got a couple but unfortunately not this time for me, thats fishing. White fish were everywhere, slow trolled purple/black rapalas for a couple 3 lb bones, some calicos, that was about it.. Used 20lb flouro leader, had dropper loop and free lined where I thought was marking but nada. Temps ranged 62-64 on the front. Water was sheet glass till around 2pm, cruising 25 knots no problem on the way out, so nice. Wind picked up and second half of the ride home was crap, especially the last 5 miles to HB were brutal. But the beer was cold and weather was great for majority of the day, better than the office! Good luck and tight lines
