I was wondering if you ever went down to Castro's.
I have booked 3 pangas with Castro's another with another captain
and a couple of rooms at Coyote Cal's we're fishing Saturday the 17th of November.
I'm a bit concerned about the launch ramp and getting out to sea past the breakers any info would be great.
    Thanks
    Brian.

Its a piece of cake , the launch ramp has been completed and the entrance in and out is safe , skippers know how to navigate the crossing, if the swell is up they will head south along the beach past the reefs and then bend it out , keep a eye out for Rick at coyote cals he's the owner and can't be trusted , take all your fishing gear in YOUR room at night, also bring your own alcohol , there is a bar there but it gets costly , have fun and next time fish with Ramon Avila

The fishing at Castro's was incredible!!!
Four pangas 15 guys 5 coolers stuffed with fish.
The tidal coefficient was small I can imagine on a large swing what it would be like.
    Every bottom critter you
you can imagine sheepshead red rock cod ,large coppers ,sculpin but no ling cod.
1 Bonita and a barracuda on the troll.
we had a lot of rookies on the boats but it did not matter to skippers put you right on the fish. We did not fish in deepwater our first stops were in 80 To 100 feet of water. With a steady pic of nice fish.
We moved to 120 to 160 and had better success.
Lot of fun on my Lexa 300 Phoenix rod with 50 lb braid short 40 lb top shot.
Fish fight all the way up sculpins are hot beware my partner got stung.
Fish cleaning bags and ice are not included it is $20 a cooler to clean your fish
Do not book the rooms at Castro's stay at Coyote Cal's we stayed at Coyote Cal's and it was nice and you can use your credit card. They have a nice bar and restaurant there.
After fishing I checked one of the rooms out of Castro's and it smells like mold bad dusty and dirty.
Also very important I can't stress enough to bring excess cash. Castro's takes only cash and after ensenada there are no services that take credit cards fill your gas tank up and stash some cash.
    All in all great experience!!!!
Dodging Baja racers was also fun!!!

$20- to clean a cooler of fish is a damn great deal!! I def would be all over that while sitting back and having something cold to drink!
