Surprising this is what they keep eating. I like single hook, weed minimizing lures.

    C-bad flatfishes. Well done

I have not been up to Cali in 2 years. Do you know the different weights those jig heads come in + brand and the plastic type, please? We fish bucktails with grub trailers for beach ocean river mouth snook. I use a small paddle tail swimbait for a trailer. Locals use a grub. My bait stands out :)

    Cheers. Fun quick strike fishing

$1.87 each at the local walmart. I did catch snook off the beach in Playa Grande last August on them.

Carolina Rig? So you tie the jig/swimbait combo at the end of a leader below a sinker?

1/4 ounce bass jig with a swimbait flutters alot. Color of water, baitfish present, tidal conditions, water depth... fishing is fishing. Just because I am eating good one week off one presentation doesn't dictate what I do the next day, next spot, or next condition. I hope ot helps.

1/2 0z. Slider. Swivel. Arms length of flourocarbun #20 leader. Baldy connection to lure. Slow... slower... stop... repeat.

Secret knot. Closest knot might be a rapala knot. Basically creates a small loop for the bait to move freely.
