What are some recommendations for cutting a calstar gf 900h factory wrap.

All suggestions welcome.

I was thinking of making it an 8 footer, bait or yoyo for 40 and 50lb

"Guy's I have a Custom Calstar 900H for sale. It is cut to a #12 tip and 8ft overall. It has Fuji Sic guides, 12 " foregrip, 16" rear grip."

i found this on a internet search, not sure what this means though.

That means the guy had the blank cut before it was built to suit his needs. I did up a 800H where I lopped 9" off the tip (to a size 12 IIRC) and left it 7'3" for heavy sinkers and cod fishing on the East Coast.

If you are going to cut a factory rod, well, I would sell it and get one built exactly how you want it in the first place!
